I'm Rachel Chinn. I really like my name. Chinn, however it may appear, is actually Irish as opposed to what you may have thought. My man and I met long ago in 2001ish when I was a sophomore and he was a freshman at our little high school. We were friends forever and teeter tottered between who liked who, but then finally started dating before I graduated (thank goodness!). After 5 years of a long distance relationship, we finally tied the knot in June 2009. This year we welcomed our awesome little boy Harrison who has giant eyeballs and sucks on everything. We love him SO much.
I love Spanish (the language, people, food etc), mangoes, and bright happy colors. I dislike seafood, flaky people, and recently severely dislike bugs. I used to like them...now I freak out. Not sure what happened there.
I teach art. I love what I do. My students are great and so are the people I work with. I try really hard to make art fun for them and myself. I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil. My art teachers were not...all good...and that inspired me to become one myself. Kids need a good art education. I believe that whole heartedly!
Next on my list of life? Have fun with my family, travel a lot, hopefully stay at home with my boy soon, and dance with my hubbs.
