countdown

I am not active on here much these days...mostly because we are dragging our feet about buying internet in our new place. We've lived there a month and have gotten by without cable or internet. Honestly life without cable is nice and peaceful. But no internet at home makes us have to accommodate and plan ahead to use it when we're on campus or I'm at work. Until we get it, which will be soon I'm hoping, this blog will be pretty pictureless.

I've been tracking the belly growth over the past few weeks. My is that boy big. The doctor said "hmm he's bigger than average." What does that mean? Like 8 or 9 pounds? I'd be cool with 8, maybe not 9. I don't want him to skip a whole category of clothing I have waiting for him!

The date is 2 weeks from today, March 19th. But doc is checking me on Wednesday and then there will be a better idea if he's coming late or early to the party. I like those who are not fashionably late =)

But he can't come toooo early because I've just been told today by the urgent care people that I have "walking pneumonia." I had bronchitis just a few months ago and now I've got this. Well super. I'll be on antibiotics for a while and it better be gone before he comes or I'll be giving him his an unwelcome motherly gift. I do not like the idea of a sick newborn. So praying that I am healed and all is good to go for this labor...whenever that happens.

In other news, I'm taking off the rest of the school year!! Yay! I'll be on maternity leave until school is out in May and then I get the whole summer with my boys. This pregnancy couldn't have been more perfect =) I'll return to work in the fall, but by then little chinn will be 6 months old and I'll be comfortable, comfortable, not happy, but comfortable with the idea of leaving him in someone's care while I'm at work.
